Diese Box beinhaltet 660 gängige Verben aller isländischen Konjugationsklassen mit deutscher und englischer Übersetzung. Jedes Verb ist auf der Vorderseite bebildert. Die Rückseite zeigt das Verb in seiner Präsens- und Präteritumkonjugation und sein Partizip Perfekt. Zusätzlich gibt es Informationen zum Verbanschluss, d.h. welcher Fall bzw. welche gängigen Präpositionen nach dem Verb folgen.
Die Verben sind in ihren Konjugationsklassen nicht nach Häufigkeit ihres Auftretens, sondern alphabetisch geordnet, um das entsprechende Verb schnellstmöglich wiederzufinden.
Verben mit unterschiedlichen Bedeutungen sind i.d.R. nur in der gängigsten Bedeutung aufgelistet. Je nach Kontext können die Verbanschlüsse variieren.
Icelandic verbs with pictures and conjugation tables (box)
This box contains cards with 660 common verbs of all Icelandic conjugation classes together with their German and English translations. On the front side of each card you will find the respective illustrated verb. On the back you will find the present and past conjugations of the verb together with its past participle form. Additionally there is information provided about the grammatical case that is required after the respective verb and about common prepositions that follow the verb.
The verbs within their particular conjugation classes are not arranged according to the frequency of their occurrence in everyday language usage but in alphabetical order to enable the user to find the respective verb as quickly as possible. Verbs of different meanings are generally only listed with their most common meaning. Depending on the context, both the grammatical cases and the prepositions that follow the verbs may vary.
